Why photo hosting and where to get it
Ebanned does not currently provide the ability to add photos of your items from your computer to your listing. The best and easiest way for you to have as many photos as your heart desires is to use an approved Photo Host. Currently, we work with only one host to provide you the best, most reliable service. Please visit Photeto (http://www.photeto.com) to get your account. All Photeto members have access to outstanding customer support along with hundreds of Templates to dress up your listing.

Other photo hosts will work with Ebanned but we do not offer support for them if your photos are not displaying in your items.

Free services such as Photobucket, Geocities/Yahoo, Inkfrog, etc. are NOT recommended as they do not allow adult content and can remove your photos without warning. You get what you pay for and if you choose free hosting, then you run the risk of your photos being removed without warning. Since Ebanned is a very visual website, serious sellers should heavily consider in investing a few bucks for a paid-for Photo Host. Having missing photos WILL cost you bids.

Q. How much of my personal information is shared with other members?
A. At a site of this nature, we realize the need for confidentiality, so in that respect, no information beyond your userid and email is shared with other members. Most information on the registration application is for our records only. We do not even provide members with email contact information unless they have been involved in a transaction with each other. We are very serious about your privacy. Please  read our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service so you can be more familiar with how this website operates.

Q. How can I keep track of my selling activity here?
A. In the Quick Link bar near the top of every page simply follow the link that reads (Auction Manager). Once you log in, select the Selling/Sold tab and you'll be able to see all of your activity from one easy to access page.

Q. Can I list this item?
A.
We have very few restrictions on what can't be sold. You should make yourself familiar with the items we don't allow. You can read the list here. Items offered for sale that are on our prohibited list will be cancelled without notice. Multiple violations could jeopardize your account status.

Q. What is a Featured Auction and how can I get mine there?
A. A Featured Auction is a listing that is placed in the most prominent position on Ebanned. It is showcased on the main page of the category list. This is a very high visibility position. You can have your listing Featured by selecting that option when you list your auction on the Sell Your Item page. There is a nominal fee for the use of this premium service.

Q. What is a Featured Seller and how do I get my picture up there?
A.
A Featured Seller is a seller that we have chosen to be prominently displayed to everyone. This is a curtsey of the Ebanned Administration and is a paid for position. Sellers wishing to be a Featured Seller must meet the requirements and fill out the form on this page to be considered.

Q. How can I add photos to my listings?

Q. How can I add more photos after the auction has been started?
A.
At any time during an auction, you can add more pictures, a counter, or more text by clicking the link on your auction under the High Bidder that reads Seller, you can add to or edit this item. Once you log in you will be able to change many aspects of your listing and even delete it if it has no bids. Note that listing fees are not refunded for a cancelled item.

Q. How do I cancel unwanted bids?
A. Use the Seller Edit link, located near the upper right corner under the title of your item in the auction that you want to remove a bid. After you log in, you'll see a link that will take you to the form to remove a bid. Please note that removing a bid to sell off auction is a serious breach of our policies and may result in getting your account suspended and/or cancelled.

Also note that bids from Dutch items are not removable as they are considered instant purchase.

Q. How can I end my auction early?
A. If your auction has no bids and you would like to end it early, just follow the link to edit the item and select the button to delete it. If the auction has bids and you would still like it to be cancelled, you will need to email Ebanned with your userid, password, auction number and the reason you are canceling this auction. If the auction has been posted for more than 12 hours, no refunds are issued for the listing fees.

Q. How do I contact the bidder when there is no contact information available?
A.
To protect our members from harassing emails, we do not provide members email address on this site unless you have been involved in a near completed transaction with them. At the end of the auction, you will receive an email with the high bidder's contact information. This is also available in your Auction Manager.

Q. My item didn't sell, can I relist for free?
A.
This site supports Auto-relist (up to 2 times) that you can select when you post your item. If you do not select that option when you first list the item, to relist it will cost another  $.25 as if you were placing a new listing. To have your item relisted for free, just select the relist option on the Sell Your Item page. If it ends with no bids, it will be automatically relisted.

Q. The high bidder backed out/didn't pay, what do I do?
A.
If your high bidder back out or didn't pay for the item, you can file a non-paying bidder alert against them. If your item had more than one bid, you can offer it to the next highest bidder if they are interested. You can read our non-paying bidder policy here.

Q. I didn't receive an email with my listing confirmation, why?
A.
Our systems sends email every time you list an auction. This is called a confirmation email. If you do not receive an email with your listing confirmation, you should contact your ISP about possible email problems. If you are on AOL, check your email settings to make sure you are set to allow internet email. If you can't get email from our system, you won't get end of auction notices, questions or invoices. Please note that VERIZON users will not receive email from our servers as Verizon has determined that all notices from Ebanned are considered SPAM and are deleted before you even get a chance to see them. We suggest any service except for Verizon.

Q. Why was my auction cancelled?
A.
Your listing can be cancelled for many reasons. One of the main reasons a listing gets cancelled is because it violates our Terms of Service by being a Prohibited Item. You should be familiar with our TOS so that your item does not get canceled. Another reason your auction may have been cancelled is for not paying your listing fees. Generally, you will be notified by email with an explanation if an auction of yours has been cancelled.

Q. My auction ended, I can't find it, where did it go?
A. When your auction closes, it doesn't hang around cluttering up the system. It is not lost forever though, you can log into your Auction Manager to get all the details of your closed listing. When your auction closed, you were sent a confirmation email that contained all the details and a link to your Auction Manager. Please note that only the Seller and the Winning bidder are able to see the details of any closed item.

Q. What is this Auction Manager?
A. The Auction Manager is the best tool available at Ebanned for buyers and seller to keep track of their activity here. It's the place you go to see your status for any bids you have placed, any auctions you have currently running, to see the details of your closed auctions. You can also leave feedback from your Auction Manager, relist the item or get a bidders contact information.

Q. Why do I get all these emails?
A.
We believe in keeping our members informed. You will get several emails for each auction; a listing confirmation, bid notifications and a final email when the item ends. This is why it is important to make sure that you can receive email from our system.
